The Claim:
John Anderson fans rock facebook page was NOT taken down by facebook
OMG. Our very FIRST Fact Check Request submission results in a hillarious self-buttf**king on LIVE facebook video. We haven't even launched yet but we've got an absolutely thigh slapping, eye watering exclusive epic fail of a talk show host caught in a lie and we have the footage here and only here.
In a hillarious move to prove his fan page wasn't removed by facebook this talk show host gets caught with his pants down by showing the notice popping up from facebook saying "Your Page Has Been Unpublished".
Check to see if it got "republished" ► https://facebook.com/JohnAndersonfansrock.
Looks terminated to us
This link isn't broken. It's accurate. So, as the page says, since we know it isn't a broken link, that leaves only one other possibility. Yup. Facebook nuked it.
When he realizes what he just showed on camera his reaction is PRICELESS. He then starts explaining away that the page was unpublished by him. Or maybe another admin unpublished it. He realizes he just showed the facebook takedown notice and the resulting stuttering and stammering are side-splittingly hilarious. This video is comedy gold.
To prove what you just saw wasn't a routine unpublishing, if you have your own facebook page, UNPUBLISH IT on a desktop computer, then visit it with your phone. You'll see a message at the bottom of the screen under "Home-Events-Reviews-About-Videos-etc..." It's an inconspicuous link that says...
Publish your Page.
This Page isn't visible on Facebook
There isn't a big box above your page with a red sidebar with a message that says "Your Page Has Been Unpublished"....
This is what the desktop version looks like
This one is for "bullying" but there are several reasons why your page can get nuked.
The tell-tale sign is the RED BAR on the left. The mobile version has it too as this doofus accidentally shows us. Wonder why he got nuked? Could it have been all the death threats?
LOL.
